I love gravlax! I have only used salt, sugar and dill, sometimes white pepper but a touch of vodka seems exiting. We had gravlax on our breakfast bread, salmon was cheap and just waiting to be caught in the river.

Smoked wild-caught fish and meat is actually thousands of times more popular in Western States. Not sure where you're from but it sounds like you're trying to be city when you're actually just a TV addict. Never heard of someone from NYC catching salmon in the Hudson River and smoking it lol I'd lay off the drugs.
