Ok so this is what am making for myself today and I even have fresh sea bass and some frozen bisap, yate ak tetetu💃🏽💃🏽.... the torment is too much! 😂.. muneh nyang katang belie Dada. I really enjoyed this video. I usually don’t fry my mbahal but I’ve tried it and I don’t think it even makes any difference. it is loaded with all the veggies. Please WHERE DID YOU GET GAYJA FROM? I need it in my life! ❤️ saf na sapp y

Yes it doesn't make a difference if you fry the onions in a little bit of oil, i just like to boil when cooked mbhal because you can accidentally add too much oil instead. Thanks for watching dear. Appreciate it 🙏 hope you will make it and tag me a picture on Facebook or Instagram. Love you 😍

The dish looks delicious, however, I have a question: Is homophobia/anti gay sentiments in current Senegal and Gambia the reason why we now refer to "sauce ci gorjigeen" (literally: "gay sauce") as "sauce nettehtu" ? Although the sauce/condiment is made out of nettehtu (locust beans), in the Senegambia region, the condiment itself was always known as "sauce ci gorjigeen" - in reference to the community it originated from. As someone who is passionate about Senegambian history and culture, we should never allow our biases or hatred of one section of society to get in the way of true history. In the Senegambia region, this condiment was never referred to as sauce nettehtu as many of us from the older generation can attest to. I have seen numerous Senegalese and Gambian food vloggers try to erase the true origin of this dish by changing the name. Sometimes they are young vloggers with lack of knowledge, and are innocently using the politically correct name. I can perhaps forgive these young vloggers for their lack of knowledge. However, when I see much older Senegalese and Gambian food vloggers (to which there are many) deliberately trying to change the name, it calls into question their integrity and knowledge Senegambian food history.
