How To Make Mercimek (Turkish Lentil Soup) At Home

Mercimek çorbası is a great Turkish recipe for every season or meal. It is super simple to prepare it and very quick to finish it :))

Here are the ingrediants:
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp olive oil
1 big onion
Half of a potato
Half cup tomato pure
1 tsp pepper paste
1 cup lentil
1 tbsp dry mint
1 small pinch sugar
1 tsp salt
1 pinch pepper
1 chicken bouillon

Hello, thank you so much for this video. It is made perfectly, easy to follow. My Turkish husband loves this çorbasi and so do all the people here who taste it. I don't use the pepper paste, just the tomato puree plus I add dried paprika spice shortly before I put water, carefully roast it a little. It works perfect, just a tip for the people who don't have pepper paste at home. Literally everybody loves it, thank you really.
