Thank you so much. If you don't get out all the big particles of pigment would they act as granulation?
@crafterine Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately granulation doesn’t work this way. Mulling helps break down the pigment and it’s essential to get smooth paint out of it (or the artist who paints with it would find pigment breaking out on the canvas). However, granulation is a property of the pigment itself. Some granulate and some don’t (no matter how long you mull or not mull). I hope it makes sense 😅

It's a pleasure ☺️. And for the preservatives, you can use : 1. Thyme oil or clove oil 2. Sodium benzoate 3. Oxgal (non-vegan) These are optional, however if you are planning on doing it commercial, it's better to add some preservatives :)

Hi, i want to ask, what if I made too much gum arabic solution, how long can i store it in the refrigerator?
@crafterine3 жыл бұрын
I have stored the gum arabic binder for upto 30 days. I'm not sure how long it stays fresh. After 2-3 weeks it does get to a thick consistency though.

how many drops of essential oil?
@crafterine Жыл бұрын
I would add around 3-5 drops of clove oil depending on the amount of paint I’m making 😊

Hello what essential oil do you recommend?
@crafterine3 жыл бұрын
I prefer to use clove oil or thyme essential oil. If you do not like the smell of it, you can use other oils provided they have antibacterial properties. I hope this helps :)
