I've only seen a few of your videos so far, but they're simply beautiful! Simple, and elegant!! I'm really not too much on fondant; it does make cakes look so sharp and pretty but the taste just isn't for me.. you, however, make me reconsider my stance on that!! These would be perfect in different colours and simpler little details for a small kid's party, kind of a personal cake for each kid. That would be awesome if any have allergies or are picky.. LOVE it!!

Thx for this amazing video,I wanna ask you what's the difference between using fondant and gumpaste? And also you sometimes use gumpaste +fondant to make flowers,can I use gumpaste alone?
@Rosiesdessertspot9 жыл бұрын
Hi +Smile Smile, fondant is great for covering cakes and for making basic shapes. Gumpaste on the other hand is much sturdier / stable and works better for delicate work like flower petals etc. Gumpaste is also more expensive that fondant. If you add in some fondant, it will still work just as well, and it also means you use less gumpaste ;)

Hi I like ur mini cakes alot great job But I couldn't understand how did u make the lace and what color did u use?,
@Rosiesdessertspot9 жыл бұрын
Hey Gona, thank you! I used a product called sugar paste, you may know it as sugar veil? You fill a silicone mould with it and then it dries flexible. They sell it at cake decorating and hobby stores. I added a few drops of Americolour soft gel food colour in the colour Gold. That helps it look more realistic when I add gold edible powder on top. Hope that helps!
@TheConnievonmarees6 жыл бұрын
You are crazy girl! I made 100 individual fondant covered cakes, and it would have taken me a year to complete with your method! What you do, is you get firm plastic, cut strips the size of your cake, and put one layer of cake inside, fill to the edge with a piping bag, making sure the gap between cake and the plastic tube is filled, and you repeat this until is full. Place in the freezer until hard. Then unwrap the cakes, wet them a bit with sugar syrup, cover in fondant, and freeze again. It was so easy, as I could just roll the cake against the tale to smooth the surface and the top. I just kept them frozen until the delivery day, when I decorated the tops. Easy peasy.

Loved the video those silicone molds are so pretty (: &&one question before putting the fondant on top of the cakes is the buttercream frosting supposed to be chilled or when its barely piped on, what would be better?
@Rosiesdessertspot9 жыл бұрын
Hey olgaeatsgummibears, glad you liked it :) I would personally llow it go set hard in the fridge or freezer before dding my fondant. Butterream an also crust at room temperature too but takes a while longer. Just keep in mind the colder the less flexible your fondant will be when you cover the cake as it seizes up a little and loses flexibility.

Hi, I would like to ask how you made your fondant? as I have seen a few recipes but there were those w/ marshmallows and some without, just wanted to know how you made yours. And fondant can be get tired of easily as its either too sweet or thick, or both. Is there any way to rectify it?
@Rosiesdessertspot9 жыл бұрын
Hi Janice jing yi , I buy my fondant from the shops :) Rolling the fondant thinner might improve the taste if there's not so much of it. From what I can tell from those who eat my creations, people generally don't eat the fondant. It usually just plays a decorative purpose. But for those who will eat it, maybe putting less might be better :)
