But I have to say that for old heads we just don't understand what you guys call R and B today. Not speaking about you directly but all of the producers who say they make R and B today in the opinion of us old guts, the drums just ain't right and the tempo is way too slow. I grew up in the 90's early 2000's so that was my main rnb era + listening to what came out before I was around! I would say this style here is more inspired by Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz, SZA, ect. There are some work arounds sometimes, but if the developers didn't route velocity it just won't work! If you google "3rd party vst velocity doesn't work FL studio" you can find FL blogs and reddit posts about this!
