Great Video Matti! I completely agree with the adsense thing. It took me 6 months to get my first amount but afterwards it has been consistent but very low and that's why I started a side business. The website just costed around 100 euros and just after two sales, you are already on the positive side. The most important thing: Keep putting content up. Merry Christmas guys!

I like that you are mindful of your brand. I’m sure when you’re starting out it’s easy to rush and try to make as much money by taking on crappy sponsorships. Stay focused and you’ll reach the top of the KZbin pack soon! Happy New Years, Matti!

Merry Christmas Matti & Everyone Else! I think that making money on KZbin is extremely difficult because there's such a large margin with different people and creators. You have to do something extraordinary that stands out. Thanks for the advice Matti. People never want to wait to get money from KZbin they want things now. Everyone wants that, but it's only a handful of people who can wait and be patient to get that money.

Matti and Peter, you guys are the real deal. I see true greatness in you both through the way you humbly try to help raise others up to where you’re at, instead of simply standing on them. The measure of “success” you have enjoyed seems never to have been the focus, which is why you have been elevated to your current position. Thank you for always considering us, your audience, peers, and friends, when using your platform to teach and inspire. John Maxwell once said, “If you think you are leading, but no one is following, then you are only taking a walk.” Like it or not, you guys are leaders. Thank you for taking that responsibility seriously. Here’s to an amazing year in 2017! Looking forward to an even more incredible year in 2018! God bless you and your families! -Derek

Thanks again, as always Matti. You're right about the multiple revenue steams. Lately I've been sticking to two and I know I should step up my game. I had more at one point and I just need to be consistent.

Quite enjoyed the alternative view you offered here. Most videos like this focus on ad revenue, so it's nice to see someone talk about making money on KZbin in a different light. Very helpful!

Merry Christmas man! Congratulations on what has been an incredibly successful year for you :) one day I hope to be in a similar position...for the next few years it's heads down and hard work trying to get my stuff to a level of quality that I'm happy with. I recently purchased your Cine luts 2.0 and I'm really impressed with them. Felt good to give something back and support you too! Cheers

This is seriously useful information that I’ve been following as of recently. I started out wanting to create a page full of just music production with graphics as the whole video and my page had minor success but I only had one video with over 400 views. I’m really excited to start really getting more into being in front of the camera really reaching out to my niche of producing and music making. As a digital media major in college I started YouTubing again just as kind of a thing to do to show future employers skills I could bring to their company. Great video and great advice!
@MarkHoltze6 жыл бұрын
Merry Christmas Matti, good tips in the video. I've found it easier to first and foremost LOVE what you're doing and the rest will eventually come. Patience is key though. Congrats on your full time youtube success, must be nice to be in control of your work schedule to such an extent, especially with a young one around.

Hey Matti, I started my channel years ago, but just to show my work “to the world” without thinking there was anything else there. Fast forward a few years when I discovered you and Peter, and I must say you guys really inspired me to make something of it. I don’t know if I can achieve the same kind of success as you, but I reckon the trip is as exciting as the destination, if not more. So for this, and for all your cool videos, thank you, Sir!

Right on Matti! Your points are valid and helpful - in my experience, searching for the company yourself, instead of agreeing with a company that finds you, is a much better relationship. As long as it is a company that resonates with you, their ethics work with what you do and you overall just love their company, if you can make an agreement it's really good. Keep it up :)

I would highly recommend getting your hands on product that you plan on backing. Regardless if it’s shopify or another platform. Now, the odds that it’s going to be sketchy with shopify are very low because they have a good reputation but I’d still have product in hand prior to promoting!

Happy Christmas Matti. Thanks for sharing all this, I’d love to pick your brain over coffee, just to see what works best for creating coin from content for you, going even deeper than here. I’ve made notes as usual and I’m really looking forward to seeing where you go and how big a community you build here. When you stop and think, it’s properly epic. I’ll be tuning in over the coming New Year as well as uploading my own video creations. I’m not sure how I’m going to get around that feeling of vlogging to a camera whilst walking around people but I guess you just have to start to make it becomes easier. Multiple income streams is so important these days and so accessible to all of us if you’re willing to put in the work. You’ve achieved so much this year and I’m delighted I came across your channel, it’s fantastic, something you should be very proud of. It’s time for me to make some extra cash whilst doing what I love, it’d be rude not to 😉 All the very best of success, adventures and experiences for 2018. Cheers JT

Great video Matthi. I am a huge fan of your channel and other channels that I know you know very well such as Peter McKinnon and Casey Neistat. I am starting my KZbin channel next month and you guys are a huge inspiration to me. The main idea is to challenge myself as you said. I work with digital marketing, more specifically content marketing, and I look at all those stats for nerds and analytics of all channels I follow. I can say that when you say that content it is the most important thing I can see it working here. As a digital marketer, I can see many ways of improving your channel reach through SEO for example. BUT, and I can't stress this enough, doesn't really matter how many people you can reach through playing with platforms algorithm, if your content don't make them come back, it is useless. And your content is awesome! Keep inspiring people, keep creating great content and maybe see you in the other side o the platform (creator instead of consumer) soon. Many Kudos!
