this year i was wondering if people still watch DVD's with streaming services like Netflix and Disney Plus, and with KZbin, but then I had a period where I didn't have internet service and i found myself at the library like it was Blockbusters. i felt like this video was very throughough and relaxing, something i actually try to do in my videos. I sold a VHS of The Nightmare Before Christmas and VHS Pokemon episodes, anime is huge for sure.

The Goodwills here in Florida in my area are far above $2 per DVD, especially TV Shows. You have a Honey Hole in your state I guess. I've gotten a few good deals at Pawn Shops and 1 Concert video I picked up for a buck and flipped it for $144.00. Did it 3x but had to pay $50-60.00 each for the other 2. It's a good category but its taken me 2 years to master it and still learning where to source.
@ResaleDojo3 жыл бұрын
That’s a killer sale! I am definitely fortunate for the $1 DVD prices at my local GW. It used to be $3, but corporate made a change in their department pricing strategy. Even when it was at $3 I would still source DVDs, but I had to adjust my threshold to buy.
@cable303 жыл бұрын
Yea, seen and read that some thrift stores have gone ebay on pricing. even where i go they pretag stuff so u know it higher price then what sign say anytime and they do check to price right at check out so u gotta make sure u see price have idea cost any. so if pretag is 3.99 then to me it 4 bucks cause tax crap any lol. so i try score any no pretag so it 2 backs anytime for media and of course blu ray are a buck more cause want the extra buck for some reason lol since dvds any are 1.99 unless pretagged any. even a show season can be 1.99 if not pretag so nice score anytime or a nice movie franchise got was no tag so 1.99.

I've had DVDs that I would say acceptable because they were full of the scratches I brought at a Goodwill or thrift store but as soon as I got home I would take that DVD and put a little dish soap on it take my two fingers and just rub it around the scratches really good rinse them off and warm water dry out really quick with a soft cloth it will not damage the label whatsoever.that seemed to work for me. Some people don't understand about DVDs They think you can just sell them and they don't understand fingerprints you may have eaten a peanut butter jelly sandwich and that print is on the DVD and it will not work in the machine.I have done so many DVDs like that just washing with dish soap and it really works after you rinse it and dry it softly with a soft cloth.I'm just saying this work for me I will not sell anyone any junk.I would test it out in the DVD player and make sure that it would play all the way through as I'm doing something else.but most of my DVDs that I would sell they would be excellent condition or good condition.since I watch a lot of my movies online for free I don't watch DVDs anymore except for TV series like I Love Lucy Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons series complete . I hope this information might help someone

Is it a good idea to bundle combo's of actors or genre's? Like Adam Sandler Movies, or Sport's comedies... ect? Like 3 or so at a time where it's still at 20 bucks or less for easy buy option? Or is it better just to keep them seperate unless it is a series of movies and such?

I said this on another channel this morning. I no longer sell used DVDs or Blu-Ray discs. Too many returns and complaints about them being unplayable. I now sell only sealed rarer singleton titles and series seasons.
@ResaleDojo3 жыл бұрын
That’s strange as I have gotten maybe 5 DVD returns out of thousand of sales. I make sure the DVD is pretty clean though. I also try not to sell anything less than $12.95, so that probably gets rid of the people thinking it’s a rental service lol. You got a good strategy with sealed and seasons though. Awesome videos. I am new with DVDs. My question is, if I start with the DVDs that are not scratched up, I shouldn't have to worry about watching the entire DVD or fast forwarding through it to make sure the DVD is in good shape?
@ResaleDojo4 жыл бұрын
That is correct. For DVDs that have no scratches, you should be fine with no testing. As a beginner, I would recommend at least putting each DVD in your player to make sure it at least works. As you get more experience and are buying discs with light scratches, you can test them on your computer or DVD player and just hold the fast forward button to see if it makes it all the way through the movie. If it freezes during the fast forward and has to jump to the next section, then you know there is an issue with the disc.

I sort them by type first (regular DVD, sets, and Blu-ray). Then if I have many under that one type, I sort by genre (anime, English shows, educational, fitness, TV shows, etc). Basically if you have a lot of one type, put them in one area so you will look there first.
