I have a patreon for a webcomic, and you would be very surprised to know that there are many supporters who will sub with no expectation of special content. I used to send people postcards and sketches and I literally was messaged by fans and told to focus my energy on comic updates only and not the extra stuff- some of my highest tier backers refused to give me an address to mail them gifts. Now I only use Patreon to blog and post process work. And I have maintained a pretty loyal base that way for years now. I see patreon as a way for people to "tip" me for doing what I am already doing (making a free to read comic). Of course this model doesn't work for everyone, but I wouldnt be discouraged to try a Patreon if you have a strong fan base for your work.

I only started my art Instagram just for money let's be 100 percent honest that's the only reason why I did this and it work I got a decent amount of costumers because I accepted the fact that I only did this for money the sooner your honest with yourself the sooner things are gonna be easier for you haha

Ahaha I really do need to tag the brands I use more often... that said, it takes a very long long time to get to those 10k micro influencer 😉 only half missing 😂. But it’s good to listen to these. I really want to get to a point I can monetise my instagram a bit more than just Patreon. I do love creating these little things for the people who love my art 😁
