It does work good as table top cooler . I have used adapter instead of cell. As for argument regarding power consumption it is very minuscule even when compared to regular table top fan. Instead of ice we can use Khus grass which is normally used in desert cooler . The total cost for all this arrangement is not more than 500 rs .

I tried similar with thermacol box with ice and a bigger fan, works good for a person maybe on office desk. Yes it's not possible for entire room, but it surely gives happiness of not wasting energy. Up to your mindset, how you perceive things.

Keep that pot in a mud vessel with sand in it, put water in the sand which will keep the water cooled always 🔥

Good idea. One suggestion would be to keep the pot outside so that dry air from outside gets cooled and then comes inside. Another suggestion would be to have some sort of water spray within the pot so more air is in contact with water.

How much heat does the fan motor produce? I think if the fan is in the same room, it would add at least as much heat as it removes.

Usha mukherjee dear friend if someone is making fun video, not meaning that it will be taken dead seriously! Or the one who is not taking them seriously will not be a professional! This is a very tiny mechanism and could not beat the desert heat of Jun, July and August. You need something practical and big machine to beat with such heat. There are 12V Solar desert air coolers available for reasonable cost which could run with one solar panel and a 12V battery. Those systems are a bit practical and do the job up to some extent. I would upload videos for them on my channel in near future. Hope you may understand my point. Regards,

nice video but what u said about the temperature drop is absolutely wrong . the air going through the fan and coming out of the holes might cooldown to the shown temperature but the whole room temperature will not go down that much low . u feel cooler only when you are in the range of the air thrown out by the fan. only a small area will be of that temperature

All those who are criticising the idea first please buy a mud pot , cool water in it and not only check the cooling but also the taste. Mud pot cool water is way way better than fridge water , tasty and healthy because of the minerals. This is a natural cooler and the cooling comes because of the mud pot and not because of the fan.

If you have a basement. It's best to have fans in the windows drawing cold ground air in, and all the fans on the top floor have fans blowing out. Heat rises. When you work with the flow and how heat works you can efficiently cool your home.

If you don'w want to drive up the power bill using fans, you can also use air pressure as your friend. And you open the lower windows like 3 inches, and the upper windows 5-6 inches so that the denser hot air going out the upper windows creates pressure and forces air in on through the lower windows and you'll get an air flow of cold air moving threw the house. If you have a chimney It would also help to block it so it doesn't mess up the pressure effect.

Lol..do something creative instead of wasting your time surfing and criticizing! He did a good job and the temperature sensor is just to show people its working..when you make it at home you screw your sensor with a 3 inch nut and bolt if it is necessary..
