I planted 4 of the dwarf everbearing in Louisiana this year. I already have a massive blackberry patch so I ordered 3 wide-mouth one gallon fermenting jars, 20 lbs of organic raw sugar, high alcohol yeast, plus some yeast nutrient. I`m probably getting several more of the jars or I may simply use a 5 gallon bucket if I can get it set up properly. But I prefer doing separate one gallon batches just in case something goes wrong, especially when using blackberries because they`re so difficult to harvest. I tried sobriety for 8 years. No more!

Yeah, we were dry for a few years as well. Now that we're making our own hooch, it's just not the case any longer. Cheers and good luck with those ferments!

Love eating fresh mulberry’s right off of the tree, we will need to freeze some after our next harvest. We really enjoy these how to videos, great job and thank you for sharing.

If you're a fan of mulberries and enjoy some wine from time to time, you're going to like this wine. The 1 ingredient you may need to adjust is the acid blend. If your mulberries have some tart to them you won't need quite as much. We've reduced ours to about half what this recipe has in it.

Looking for the finished mulberry wine video. Starting a batch tomorrow with about 40 lbs of mulberries and blackberries, I’ve been picking and freezing berries for two years and ran out of room so now it’s time for wine. Only making 5 gallons just going for a very strong berry flavor

Hey Kevin sorry for the late reply, we always forget to check this channel lol! We did finish this wine and it turned out fantastic! It would be the same process as some of the other wine videos, however we did back-sweeten this one quit a bit. Our favorite one so far. If you have any question during the process please let us know.

Great video! What type of acid did you use? As well, where did you get your large bucket with the lid? Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed this one. I'll link to the acid blend we use for you here on Amazon; amzn.to/4dG2VYq the buckets were purchased from a local brewery shop, so I'm not sure where the best place to source those would be. The bucket is 6.5 gallons and the trash can is 13 gallons I believe.

Since I get lots of mulberries. I always end up freezing them and make juice and jams when is out of season. I will try to make wine, wild fermentation way. (No comercial yeast.)

Hey Erika! It would be fantastic with wild fermentation. We've made several different fruit wines and this is definitely in the top 3!

Ooh I wonder what fermented mulberry is like My first problem is producing more mulberries than I can eat.
@HealthyFarmLiving

Hey Thomas! First off, how the heck are you man? Haven't heard from you in a while. As for the mulberries, that's true. It does take a bit of over production before you have enough to make wine. We've only tried the unfinished wine and it already tastes really good. Usually you don't get a good taste until it's finished before you back sweeten. That's not the case with this bad boy!

We're looking forward to this one. Dark red wines can be hard to come by with what we grow on the farm, but this one is shaping up nicely so far!

Please write the ingredients for making wine, for example, how many kilograms of fruit.. and how many liters of water.. and how many kilograms of sugar... and how many grams of yeast you need.. and how much alcohol is... I hope to write it in the description or in the responses
@HealthyFarmLiving

The potential alcohol was 16%. And here is what we used to make this wine: 20lbs of mulberries 3 gallons of water Sugar (until it reach 1.120 specific gravity) 7 tsp Acid Blend 3 tsp Pectic Enzyme 9 tsp Yeast Nutrient 1 packet of Premier Cuvee Yeast We have yet to bottle this wine so don't have any ending numbers. Hope this helps

@@HealthyFarmLiving i don't have the alcohol specific graviti to know how much sugar we need to add in..can i know how much sugar you add in in kg?
@HealthyFarmLiving
@HealthyFarmLiving 2 жыл бұрын
@@julianamahen3502 hmm, we don't write that information down as we measure the specific alcohol and not the amount of sugar. I wouldn't want to guess, but it was many many cups to get the specific gravity that high. Are you able to purchase from Amazon where you live? If so, I'll link to the tool we use to measure that here for you; amzn.to/3PoW0WT

What's the alcohol content
@HealthyFarmLiving
@HealthyFarmLiving Жыл бұрын
We don't have a way of measuring the final alcohol content, but we are probably around 13-14% alcohol after back sweetening. Without back sweetening that potential alcohol reading of 1.120 nets to just under 16% which is pretty accurate.

Not all Mulberries are the same. TEST YOUR PH. I ruined two batches following the suggested amount of additional acid here.

Good point here and we've since been doing the same with each batch. Every batch is different and needs varying amounts.
