Yeah! I'm making these today! I finally got a bunch of the perfect size cukes. I bought a really cool German crock especially for this. My Aunty used to make these & she had a hard time keeping me out of them when we went to visit. I hope mine come out as good as hers! Thanks for the recipe❣️I've waited 2 years to make these!

So I saw this video for the first time yesterday, and it's the first I've heard of this channel/KZbinr. I fell in love. Instantly dropped what I was doing a d decided to make these. My first time pickeling. Getting ready to rinse the salt water out an start the brine. So excited. A bit nervous. I watched this video again and at the beginning he says "trust the process" and what not, and it's exactly what I needed to hear. It's pickeling time! Wish me luck lol 🤶🎅🎄⛄🥒🤞

Oooh, you are so lucky ! 1. Grandma showed you how to do all this . 2. Your Grandma's recipe let's you just stir in the sugar, we had to Heat the brine every day (14 day) when we added the sugar. But sooo good and like so many other Wonderful things it all came from Grandma.

I'm just starting the first step (soaking them for 24 hors). I'm dismayed to find that none of my plates work for weighing them down under the brine, so I just set the weights that came with the crock on top of them. Hope that's OK!? Tomorrow I'll do the rest of the steps. I bought a 5 gal crock for this, along with a cover and 2 weights.

Great video. I also liked the idea of using water to hold the veg beneath the water. Going to try this with sealed ziplock bags for my next apple cider vinegar batch.

I just started watching you today. Great videos. Please flip your phone/camera the other way when you film. I watch you on my tv and it puts the giant black bars on either side of your videos. I had to use my phone to comment about it andI was surprised that the bars aren't there on the phone.

Interesting recipe & hybrid method but pickling in straight vinegar is just too harsh. 1:1 vinegar & water is the standard and I wonder how you can bear it if it's pure vinegar.
