Have made this a few times and it def works! Carp seem to like it and i even somehow got a northern pike as well using it with corn as hookbait. For those fishing in cold, still water, id add more oats and less lard as it will fall apart easier.

Thank you for another interesting and informative video. I really enjoy them. I noticed that your pack bait formed up readily and held its shape well and appeared to be quite clay-like. I wonder what your bait break down time would be, or if you were using the pack bait as a dough bait?
@tomchopske4 жыл бұрын
The lard seems like a really good idea. I’ve hard trouble with my pack bait being a bit too crumbly. Gonna give that a try
@WMBayouLures4 жыл бұрын
Lard is good but anytime it is too crumbly just add more liquid, water will do
@tomchopske4 жыл бұрын
@@WMBayouLures thanks for the advice. Next time I make bait, I'll use lard. And if i'm ever out and my bait is crumbly, I'll just scoop up some water

Hi mate Rob from England my recomendation would be to add salt in the way of Anchovies,carp love salt .,natural salt.also a little sugar,always the two together. Just to say you are bang on with the milk 👍

Alternatively you could use what I use but keep it secret 👀Chinese fish sauce 👍 Oh yes.

I made your recipe. It was interesting. One batch I made exactly the same. One batch I made, I substituted blood bait in place of sardines. Results were interesting.

I'd like an Email address to share those results. You might be interested.

Try using disposable latex gloves when you mix the bait with your hands. Much less messy and just peel off gloves when done...clean hands!

When do you set the hook with pac bait?
@PlasticRocket24 жыл бұрын
Well, id say pretty much as soon as your line starts to take off assuming a fish picked up the bait and ran off. Sometimes the fish will even hook itself
