Corn and spam cut into chunks. Leave the meat out over night on a tray and it will form a tougher outer layer and stays on the hook or hair perfectly.

Nice ground bait ..will try this
@brian12045 жыл бұрын
Seems like more of a pack bait than ground bait, but no biggie. Very similar to what many of us use: One part panko One park old fashioned oats Flavor of choice Creamed corn as a wetter. Also have used just a 2.5 lb tub of o.f. Oats and a can of creamed corn. Good stuff!
@brianhouser46806 жыл бұрын
Instead of using the egg as a binder and corn. You can just get a can of cream style corn and it will do the same thing. I am not a fan of eggs in baits. Great tips though.

You actually fishing for these pests in the effort to eradicate them from the environment or as a target species? Please don't tell me you actually eat these bags of bones?! Wouldn't even give them to the cat.
@Ryan-ie2ne3 жыл бұрын
No, unless your polish or Lithuanian, In Uk we fish the carp for sport as they aren’t the easiest to target on rivers and they grow to bigger sizes than all of the other fish

Ever used supermarket own brand tinned macaroni cheese? It's as cheap as chips, perfect hook bait and carp love it? They seem to be attracted to the cheese sauce.

I'm a plumber, and households that have a chlorinator in them have a slight amount of chlorine in it. also some tap water can have chlorine in it. It's not bad for the fish because explain how fish live in tanks that's filled with tap water? Also if you have a well pump instead of city water than your good to go depending on what's in your well. I cant even drink my water due to it's high level in sulfur
@wildlifefishingshow5 жыл бұрын
Sulfur in your water sounds pretty bad! Sorry to hear that. With chlorine (and other chemicals) different species of fish will have different tolerance levels to it. I'm pretty sure a Plecos could survive in highly chlorinated water just fine. On the flip side, chiclids tend to die off fairly quick when exposed to it (in most cases, not necessarily all cases). If I remember correctly, I think what I meant by it in this video was to avoid putting it in your bait more for the point of keeping the taste natural so as not to put off sensitive fish. Most of our Houston carp wouldn't care, but if you're in a fairly pristine or well kept environment, they just may not be as likely to start feeding on it.
@TR4zest5 жыл бұрын
Chlorine is dangerous to fish and chlorinated tap water can burn a fish's gills. Fish keepers take steps to eliminate chlorine from their tank or pond. Chlorine dissipates over time so fill their tank or pond ahead of time, or if necessary, additives that are chlorine eliminators are used.

How do you attach it to your hook
@2pikeman5 жыл бұрын
deffo use a processor, also use a cheap box of cornflakes instead of the corn, then add a couple of packs of packets of biscuits, all dried so it keep for ages, freeze if using bread, or add the bread before you go fishing

Great video! Great information! Using this pack bait you would probably use a method feeder or cage. So what would you prefer to put on the hook with it? Bread maybe?

A good reason I see for adding egg shell is the calcium would be good for the fish anyway even if it was never eaten.. Im not sure? What does anyone else think on that..

Just be aware of the oats expanding inside the fish, some baits in the uk need to be soaked for up to 24 hours before fishing as it can expand inside a fish.
@wildlifefishingshow5 жыл бұрын

@wildlifefishingshow4 жыл бұрын
@@matthewmoe it could definitely work in saltwater with proper adjustments. Lose the corn, add fish oil or crushed menhaden pellets. Graeme Pullen on TA Fishing has a saltwater ground bait recipe that works well.
