I have moved away from Roux as a base in soups, stews, so on. I like the flavor, but do not like the look. What is the old saying "you eat with your eyes first". I have been trying out corn starch, then adding things like sun dried tomato, parsley, and even toasted and chopped pecans. I never use Iodized salt, get needed amounts in the sea food, I also rare I use salt Tony's and Paul's often have enough to cover the amount needed.

Giving you a thumbs up on this one as well as all the others. Going to try this tomorrow 11/15/2017. Been wanting to try this and just haven't had the time. Have made many of your other recipes, Charlie, and they have turned out great. My wife's mother is from New Roads and she loves the things I cook for her from your recipes. Keep them coming!!
