HOW TO MAKE KUNU
INGREDIENTS:
5 cups of Millet
2 cups of Guinea corn
sweet potatoes
ginger
cloves
black peppers
sugar

Thanks a lot for a thorough, tutorial on kunu preparation. But some people would say, it is only dry potatoes that is used for kunu drinks. So, why the fresh potatoes? Am not from the North sha. Anyways, thanks. Ikpe Prosper Rex.

Growing up in Nigeria , I used to dance around the kitchen whenever I saw my grandma make Kunu but I never took the time out to learn, now I can order for the ingredients from Nigeria and make mine thanks to you sis 🙌❤️.

Can it be placed on heat for a few minutes after sieving it without it thickening? With all the contact during sieving, I would feel more comfortable hygiene-wise doing that.

I blended the recipes respectively, I added hot water to the guinea corn and left for work. Will it sour after about eight hours before extracting it?

You don’t need to boil the potatoes. The hot temperature from the millet will cook the potatoes from adding the boiling water. Thanks for watching 😍

When you pour hot water and it’s watery. That means it’s not cooked. All you have to do is put in the stove and leave it to cook for 5-10 min until it forms. Then you leave it to cool down before adding the potatoes. Sometimes it gets watery when the water is not hot enough.
