As long as you leave about an inch or so of head space in the top of your jar, you can also freeze your jams so they will last longer. I planted an apple tree a couple of years ago, and had my first real harvest last month. My freezer is about 70% apple butter right now.

Blackberries in general are nostalgic for me, because I spent half my childhood in the countryside and I would go to the edge of the forest where I'd pick wild blackberries to snack on, or fill a basket with the blackberries so my mom could make blackberry cobbler. Also, hello from Texas!

I’ve made this sooo many times since watching your video. The spices with the blackberries are PERFECT!! I usually don’t strain out the seeds but just had to (made for someone who just had dental work, loves blackberries but needs to avoid seeds right now). I must say straining it was not the funniest but it looks so beautiful. I’ve used this base (without spices) to make Strawberry and blueberry jams. Each were delicious! I love making jams now and make one probably once every 2-3 weeks now for my family. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It is a truly beautiful way to incorporate intention. 💙

I wish I could make your recipes. They always look so freaking yummy. But I eat plantbased and withour refined sugars. Eating sugar in the past destroyed my gut and gives me candida overgrowth. So the past years I try to eat as little as I can and if I have sugary treats I go for more natural sweetners. But your recipes look so amazing and beautiful... you are such a light Annie.

Hi, Annabel! Thank you for sharing your family recipe with us! It looks really simple to make, so come summer (I live in the Southern Hemisphere) I would like to try and make a jam with the berries I can find. I could try now with frozen berries but I don't think that would be very magickal. I have a sweet tooth and this past winter I became obsessed with jam, especially berry jam (insert strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries). So as usual, your video came at a perfect time. I can't believe how excited your cooking videos make me to go into the kitchen and try my hand at it. Thank you for this recipe and for the yummy ones that are to come! And happy belated Mabon! Ps. As part of my ritual to watch your videos, I always go and make a cup of tea to drink while watching
