I’m 59 and when i was a kid my mother had three boys to feed. So when she made Salmon patties and sometimes she only had can Mackerel, cheaper than Salmon so she added some Ketchup to the Mackerel when mixing to give it that Salmon color. Great memories. Love the Potato in your recipe, so I must try this.

Try a moist paper towel as the onion voodoo is attracted to moisture and the eyes are moist. So if you moisten a paper towel, fold and have it close to the onion then no eye voodoo!
