I was a professional Baker for many years. When you make Banana Bread, right before you put it in the oven dip a sharp knife in oil and put a little slice on the top. You won't get that cracked top. It will look look great!!

I'm making about 15 loaves of banana bread this weekend for Teacher Appreciation, I am going to give that a try and see if it helps them look nicer. Can I ask why the oil? Is it because it will stop it from just coming back together? (since banana bread is really just a cake batter and not a true "bread") Also any tips for helping a GF banana bread or a Vegan one? I am using untested recipes because one of my son's teachers cannot eat wheat and one of my daughter's is Vegan (I know vegan banana bread can be pretty good because the banana can really replace the egg as a binder but the GF is just a recipe that had good internet reviews and I am just HOPING it works well).

Best banana bread I've ever eaten. Used some bananas that were at risk of getting overripe. Ugh my god it was so good. Caramel sauce is NOT optional you have to try it at least once I thought it'd be an odd combination but it was perfect! This is my third recipe of yours I've tried in the last 2 months and you haven't let me or my husband down xD

Didn’t have fresh milk or butter. so used evaporated milk & lemon juice & Ghee. made a double batch and OMG with homemade wild blueberry jam. and a hot black coffee I’m in heaven. AB, double your ingredients add a dash of salt & a dash of pure vanilla extract and thank me later 😂😊. You can do one loaf plain and the 2nd loaf with nuts, chocolate, or peanut powder. I’ve even wrapped one loaf tightly and froze it for 3-4 months and pulled it out to thaw for company. It was still delicious.

gm AB, 💚 all yo recipes, to cut back on sugar l blend dates, carrots, zucchini, and coconut sugar, vanilla, all spice and nutmeg, unsweetened applesauce to add to my mix, sometimes l use molasses or MCT oil. I love making banana bread bc you add what ever taste or flavor u like. Thanks for sharing with us. ❤🎉

Its delicious making another 2 loafs, i let mine cook for 45min and rest overnight in a ziploc bag thats food safe wrapped in paper towel to keep it off the ziploc bag. It was super moist and delicious, im try your spaghetti recipe next. Keep it up!

i made this with my own little twist and let me tell you... WHEW!!! for those wondering, i browned my butter before hand, added a pinch of salt and some allspice to the batter, and didnt mix the cinnamon all the way through - i reserved some batter, mixed in all my cinnamon to that, and then added it all to the loaf pan with the remaining batter so i could do a cute lil cinnamon swirl on the top of my loaf. over all, DEEEEEElicious. Imma have to try the caramel sauce with my next slice tho. thank you, AB!
