Nice instructional video Mark. So many times we strive for perfect focus and sharpness in our images and this shows that there are options to consider in how we present our images. This was just enough to maintain the composition to create a new view without going to the fantastical and becoming surreal.

It’s interesting to see your workflow and how much it matches my own. It’s a good habit as you noted to move the sliders to the extreme in both directions to see the overall effect it has on your image. Than you pull it back to get the effect you want. I rarely use any of the controls in the creative panel but after watching your video I am going to have to check them out more closely. Good video, Mark 👍

Such a good habit to push those sliders around and see what they're affecting, especially other than your desired effect, and I usually pull back after finding a sweet spot. I think you'll find some gems Bruce, with Luminar's creative tools. Used sparingly, they can really add to the images story.

Folks might consider when using Mask Ai to select "sky" and then copy the mask. When affecting everything but sky do an "invert" and use the mask when affecting the sky at another time.

Good call on the sky invert, as for the copy/paste, I learned something new today, for I wasn’t aware that masks were able to be copied/pasted. I’ll have to try this!

Very instructional Mark! Never used this app, but great to see your editing workflow. The remove dust spots button seems very useful for me because my sensor is so dirty 😂 curious though, has it eliminated your need for lightroom / photoshop or you still move them over for some final touches?

Thanks, Keith, that dust removal button is like the best thing ever lol! I still use Lightroom as my main photo editor and catalogue. I've used Luminar 4 for years as a plugin after making basic edits in Lr. Now, I'm pretty much doing the same thing with Neo when needed but have been using Neo for some - RAW, Start to Finish edits. I did try to build Neo's catalog, but it doesn't play well with my Synology NAS and it's just too slow. Lightroom doesn't seem to have this problem and works much better over my network. Hopefully, that will improve in the future.

Hi Terry, thanks for the compliment. At this time I don't have a course on Luminar Neo. I've considered creating one and hope to get around to it as your not the first to ask. It's a fantastic and poweful program for beginners. Good choice!
