I've just simply pull the cup out of it , if it gets some cracks you can fill it with paper mache paste or some glue .

I think paper pulp got stuck on glass that's why it's not coming out ... Try to loose it's edges with the help of knife

Actually you have to cut it into two halves then take it out and then stick them with adhesive
