Just FYI - You CAN dye and set the color (when using a dye for synthetic blends and the recommended setting process). That said, most people don't want to do that work. This method solves that. :)

Even as just a method of securing fur appliques for sewing, this isn't a bad method. I'm gonna yoink this for fursuits. :3

First, thank you so much for the kind words. The hot glue stick I'm using is called a silicone face mask spatula. I got a 4 pack on Amazon but have seen them individually in the Dollar Tree aisle sometimes as a single.

Awesome video! I heard you mention gnome groups. Would you please share more info on that?
@SarahNenniDaher2 жыл бұрын
Of course, Ann. If you search gnome DIY or something like that, you will see a list of groups come up on Facebook. My group (gnomes and all crafts) is here: facebook.com/groups/diygnomesandcrafts/ We share different techniques, inspiration, tutorials, and all kinds of other stuff. It's a really kind, helpful place and, unlike some groups, we moderate it so it can stay that way.

Are you using a dog brush to brush out fur?
@SarahNenniDaher2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can use a cat or dog brush or comb (or a human comb); one with teeth and not bristles works best without damage. The bristle brushes are great for brushing out yarn into a fur-like texture.
