How To Make PERFECT Lamb Pilau | Pulao | Pilaf Rice Recipe Tutorial DIY

Follow this simple step by step video to enjoy this delicious Lamb Pilau on all your special occasions. Also known as Pilaf or Pulao in different regions of the world. Pilau is eaten traditionally with raita and can also be eaten with a curry of choice.
This is a tasty Lamb Pilau, with flavours that will want you coming back for more. Lamb Pilau is a firm family favourite, and is eaten on special occasions such as Eid or can be eaten whenever you feel the want or need.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of oil
1 full kettle of boiled of water
4 mugs of rice
1KG of lamb back chops (or whatever meat you want)
2 large onions sliced
2 medium sized tomatoes roughly chopped
1 frozen piece of garlic & ginger or a tablespoon of each of the paste
tblspn cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
4 black cardamom pods
1 tspn of black peppercorns
1 tspn of cloves
1 cinnamon stick
2½ tbspn of salt

Hello there. This Lamb Pulao looks WONDERFUL. It's flavoured nicely with fresh ingredients and the rice turned out light & fluffy. I always add hot liquids to my pot also. It cuts down on the time coming up to a boil. My goodness I can just imagine the smell in your home after sautéing the spices & onions. VERY nicely done. Putting whole whole spices (gharam masala) directly with the yaknee/broat will make this entire dish even better. Also add 2 or two green chilies. This is also lovely recipe, thanks for sharing.

Hi Naureen, thank you for your comment. I completely agree with you, however I feel lamb cooks pretty quickly and the yakni doesnt cook long enough for any real flavour to develop. I do however use whole spices and onions etc when I'm working with mutton which as you know takes longer to cook.
