These look wonderful. I have tried to make popovers for years at an altitude of 6,500' and they NEVER come out like this. They hardly rise above the top of the pan. Any suggestions?

There are a number of reasons they may not rise. Sometimes if it's humid/damp out, they have a hard time rising. I know that's strange, but it happens. They will still taste great, but not be big and fluffy. It could be old flour, or any of the ingredients could be off and that can throw them off from rising. Also, make sure your oven calibrated. Sometimes it may say 450 degrees, but it's not truly 450. Did you open the oven door while they were cooking? I share more tips and tricks on my website. marinmamacooks.com/quick-and-easy-popovers/

Hi DeRenda! It's a Nordic Ware Grandy Popover pan! You can get it on Amazon. It's seriously the best popover pan out there. Here's the link. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055FSMCS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0055FSMCS&linkCode=as2&tag=marmamcoo-20%22%3ENordic%20Ware%20Grand%20Popover%20Pan%3C/a%3E%3Cimg%20src=%22ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=marmamcoo-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B0055FSMCS%22%20width=%221%22%20height=%221%22%20border=%220%22%20alt=%22%22%20style=%22border:none%20!important;%20margin:0px%20!important;

Melt your butter in a small cup rather waste the butter on a plate
@Marinmamacooks7 ай бұрын
You can totally do that too. I use a spatula to get it off the plate, so there isn't any waste.

Very confuse time of cooking 60 minute then 50 minute this make 110 minute to cook popover ? Others recipe mention 20/to 25 minute the longest is 4o minute you talk about 60 minute then 50 minute very confuse please give the correct time again you too fast
@Marinmamacooks2 жыл бұрын
Hi Conner, I just watched my video and I see why it sounds confusing. I apologize. When I say 16 minutes it does sound like I’m saying 60 minutes. Total cooking time is 30-32 minutes. I put the popovers in at 450 for 16 minutes and then turn down the heat to 350 and cook for an additional 15-16 minutes. I do have the full recipe on my blog marinmamacooks.com/2011/10/quick-and-easy-popovers/ best, Marin mama
