I used 2 glasses because when I used 1.75 the rice was a lil undercooked. In 2 glasses and this method came out perfect quality of rice maybe. Love your recipes thank you for sharing your expertise.

Dear Kabita, Thank you for the video. It didn't work on my Ponni rice. I cooked it in a stainless steel can,on a ceramic cook top adding some butter and a dessert spoon of brown sugar as I was taught along with some spices. Even I followed every step after rincing it with water and soaking in a salty water for some 30 min it took me 25 min to cook it yet it wasn't what I expected it to be. It was almost ready in 10 min but was a bit mushy so I had to finish cooking it in the oven on a low heat for another 20 min to make it more dry. I don't know, most probably that works well on Basmati rice. Hope it helps.
