hello how do I work with the container wax, I order a large amount and they don't accept return even if its not open. any advice on how to use it for wax tarts. it was too soft and wouldn't pop out when I found out they won't accept the return. also my other question is when I am measuring in grams when my wax is solid I get a little bit over the amount I need for my clam shells at 17g leftover which is fine for samples. however when I melt the wax and pour it out instead of having over I am a whole 70 g short (instead of 4 filled ,I only have 3 filled) what am I calculating wrong. I went online for the cal and it says my measurement is correct but yet when its liquid the grams is not right

I find that I can get away with using a higher percentage of fragrance oil with melts than I can with candles, for the simple reason that I don’t have to worry about a wick. What say you?

Yes, but usually not more than the amount the wax is capable of holding.

Hello, I got a quick question. Every time I make my candles I got bad headaches and also the feeling to throw up. Is because of the fragrance oils. Even though I love the smell of them all it makes me dizzy. Am I the only sensible one? What are your opinions about this? Do you have this problem?
@teannahairston57292 жыл бұрын
I know some people who do not feel too good when making candles, they will purchase a respirator. You might want to look into that.
@alenecali50932 жыл бұрын
look into a better quality fragrance or essential oil. Thats the exact reason so many people get sick from store bought candles, a lot of fake fragrances or "impure" ones can make you incredibly sick. They are poison.

You are using a scale that has 1g subdivision and that means that is not accurate enough for measuring FO. With your scale you don't know if you are measuring 33g or 33.99g...which is 1g more. For large batches it might not be important, but it is for small batches because your end product has more than 9% FO. Also...you should never melt wax directly on the heat source. I'm new in this...but this is common sense. And the last thing: yes, be afraid to put your wax back on the heat after you added FO because that will evaporate your FO... so many bad advice in this video.
