What is the mold sitting on in the beginning of the video? It looks like a tin can possibly? Can you show how the bowl is taken off of the mold once it is leather hard?

How long does it take to become leather hard while on the plaster mold? I did my first one yesterday (11 inch bowl) and the clay still seems a bit damp today, and doesn't want to let go of the plaster underneath. Is there any time period you recommend and/or techniques for getting the pot off the mold without damaging it?

hello, it depends on a few things. Did you make the mold? if so, how long did you leave it to dry. If the mold still contains water, then it does take longer for the bowl to dry out. I find if the plaster mold is dry then the clay will be leather hard in a few hours. How thick is the bowl?
