Starting psytrance is easy, mastering psytrance is the hard part (e.g. Astral Projections - Dancing Galaxy) . Nice work!

Thanks so much for this easy to follow tutorial. Really simple and well explained. When I had a demo for my lead single off of my upcoming third album but when I discovered psychedelic trance music I instantly fell in love to the point that I chose to scrap the demo I originally had released and made the ultimate decision to dedicate this entire album to the psychedelic trance genre. I can't wait to release this album once its complete just it'll take me some time as I am new to this genre and I want to take my time.

You can theoretically use this tutorial to create my favorite trance sub-genre, hi-tech psytrance, where tempos start at 180bpm and can go as high as 300bpm. Also has a lot of wacky sounds in there, so it's definitely very fun to play around with. Kopophobia is my favorite artist from there, and he does a LOT of stuff with it, even fusing uptempo hardcore
@ivanpetrov50072 жыл бұрын
For a DarkPsy, you would usually strive for 160-180 BPM, there are a handful of DarkPsy artists who can make trance in 180bmp.

I think you could have mentioned which sub-genre you were producing, because psytrance has lots of them, and they're all pretty different. Also I didn't like how you said it's about experimenting, I think there are many normal parts to a psy track like leads and stuff. For a single tutorial it's not that bad but I think you could have explained a bit more about the philosophy and theory of psytrance. This is just my opinion as a psy producer and listener, but keep on going with the great video quality!

Sees KSHMR: Oh BRuh Mainstream Psy Sees further video: Okay that's actually quite good quality Psy... Some advice from a more or less beginner (3 -4 years): 1. make the Bass every sixteenth note (just like the CHH) and put a sidechain on it to have kick still punchy 2. make the OHH a little bit louder, especially at speeds beyond 140 bpm. 3. Use sytrus, Parametric EQ 2 and maximus for kick and bass. sytrus is underrated

Beginner mistake: Not using EQ processing to make room for the kick and bass frequencies. Put Fruity parametric EQ 2 on most of the mixer channels, Leads, Melody, Arp, Synth, Pads, etc. and cut off the bass with HPF High Pass Filter in Fruity parametric EQ 2 ain this way there will be more room for the kick and bass sound
@smallwitchy3 жыл бұрын
