In this video I will show you how to make melodies in a very strange way. But it can work! It's a pretty simple tutorial and we are going to record our voice and basically hum the melody or sing it and then turn it into MIDI using Newtone.

There is a way to do this without new tone, once you have put your melody into edison, go to tools and select "Convert to score and dump to piano roll" from there you can correct any midi vocal errors and give you a basis to work from

but you cant change the key of the melody if you dont put it in newtone

Another software/plugin that does the same thing is melodyne..... i learn the guitar, and i generally use that to help me in transcribe songs in my native language, since they usually have no tabs

quick tip, when you edit your video disable resample, so when you render your video the refresh rate of the source will match the output, i can see ghosting on your cursor, anyway great tutorial and hope to see more!

I think you can still do this if you only have the trial of newtone also. I only bought the producer edition of FL Studio when I got it but I can still use newtone trial to get the notes and then copy them to the piano roll. The full version of newtone is incredible for vocals though as well if you don't already use melodyne. I know plenty of people will have newtone after "buying" FL Studio but not many people actually use the plugins you get with the better versions. You should make more videos on the stock FL plugins Arcade I'd love to see the potential that some of them have
