***** Hi Casey, thank you! I'm really happy you like my videos. The tools I use are actually old dental instruments which I got from my boyfriend's dad. If you happen to know a dentist or have a good relationship with your dentist, you can simply ask if they have old tools lying around which they no longer need :). You can also order them online from medical supply shops, but new tools are most likely quite expensive. Though regular clay tools like fimo blades, nail dotters will work just as well for any of my tutorials ^_^

@Key Lemon Hi! I used UHU Bastel Kleber...if you live in Germany or Austria you will probably be able to get the exact same one :D. It's a simple white glue. If you can't find it, then you can use "Holzleim" from any DIY shop (Bauhaus) which is exactly the same thing. Good luck :))

@Gaby Moreno Sorry, for some reason it doesn't let me reply directly to your comment. A whole box of chalk pastels are quite expensive, but most big art stores should sell them individually as well. Single pastels are cheap and you only need a light and a dark brown one. An alternative would be crush up brown eyeshadow, but I think that would end up more expensive than pastels ^_^"

Thanks!! I was surprised how easy the details were to do...since the clay was soft, it was actually possible to push the details around with the toothpick to make sure they were in the right positions.

Another way to make the cup would be the "pinch pot" method. Make a ball of clay and insert your thumb then pinch to expand the center out, but don't make a thin wall of the bowl/cup. then put the bowl/cup on its side and using your index finger on the inside of it, roll it to smooth out the sides (also thins the walls as well) flip so the cup is upside down and lightly tap the bottom to level it. I took 3 years of ceramics and that was the first thing we were taught. It's nice that some techniques can be applied to polymer clay! Amazing video, nonetheless!(:

if you dont add the glue and you use the same sized cup you can make different heads and swap them around =) given i know its probably close to impossible to make the exact same sized cup over and over, but if you make them about the same you can make the base of the cat a bit smaller than the cup and do the coil wider than the cup over the edge so nobody need know =D
