This is brilliant. I worked for a production company years ago that unintentionally spawned 30-40 other companies because the owner didn't give people a path to move up and do their own work under the umbrella of his company so everybody had to quit and become his competition in order to Produce their own shows. This approach of offering opportunities and training is a ton of work for you but it is really brilliant because you have outsourced your development department to the general public (and viewing audience). Very smart move. And done in a nice whimsical and entertaining fashion. Kudos

+J D Freedman Thank you. We were among those who worked at companies where pitching wasn't encouraged. Our main goal is to find like-minded people to work with.

I want to be a field producer/ camera operator for Reality Television. I like the challenge. Any tips?
@JokeAndBiagio9 жыл бұрын
+MKP Studios Shoot and edit a bunch of stuff on your own, get samples on your own site that prove you can do pro work, and submit for gigs over at staffmeup.com Of course, you can also go the "creator" route and shoot and edit video pitches and pitch them to studios and production companies like ours: producingunscripted.com/pitch-reality-tv-joke-biagio/ Best of luck!

I have an idea for a reality show, and I have the investor ready to back it... How can I get in touch with you guys?
@JokeAndBiagio7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ty - we always recommend learning about the business first. No matter who you pitch to, it's important to understand how it all works. Check out How to Pitch a Reality Show, a free guide: producingunscripted.com/how-to-pitch-a-reality-show/ and learn how the biz works and how we (or others) accept pitches here: producingunscripted.com/about/ Also have a look at Should I Produce a TV Pilot - www.jokeandbiagio.com/should-i-produce-my-own-reality-tv-pilot That said, there's a lot of ways to break in the unscripted TV business. Best of luck with all.

The networks you work with in your video is the only networks? Maybe even highest paying networks?
@JokeAndBiagio10 жыл бұрын
We pitch to all the networks. Only so much room in the video :-) But yes, you usually try to pitch to bigger networks first.
