Oh NICE! I've seen the VR board on the UK site but wasn't aware they would ship it to the US. (i'm making an assumption that you're in the US)

It did get a little complicated there, so I had a friend buy it for me and ship to the US. The only messy part is finding someone to buy it in the UK then ship it over.

You need to install a whole new board. Just installing the files on the SD card will not work.

Question: Since I'm assuming the VR board is handling the voice logic ... is the SD just housing audio files for the VR board to trigger? if thats the case could you use the English VR board and the Japanese SD card for him to Understand English command but respond in Japanese? ... i just think that would be cute.

It may but I never fully tried it. I actually really like the voice in English but I’m sure it could be doable.

hi, great video. Thanks for doing this. we followed your video instructions and got Robi to wake up and say hello in english and then he freezes when he asks us to answer "yes" or "no" to a series of questions during set up. We can't seem to get past it and so we restart him and the same bug happen. Did you have any trouble getting him up and running in English once you installed the card / board?
