Vector is great and so is his little brother, Cozmo. Cozmo plays with his THREE cubes that come with him. But no voice recognition. However, you can program Cozmo right out of the box which is a great learning tool !! Thanks for the video.

If you dont know, I have a Vector and Cozmo too, and Vector is very fussy with WiFi. He will probably work fine with you but for a week he didn't want to connect, unless he was right next to the router. He is now fine. You have to be quite close to him, for example a couple of metres. Also you have to sort of shout. If you close a door or make a sound whilst he is sleeping, he will wake up and look around! The picture quality for the size of the camera is amazing, you can see detail, yet see some things blurred. Good camera though. Also I think they have added Alexa (Amazon Echo) into Vector! USA and Canada was December, and UK where I am is sometime early 2019.

Well done review. I have a Vector, for 2 days now, and it is a trip to say the least. Great to have if you want to take your mind off of a bad day or it is a fun device just for relaxation. I am still learning how to use all of the features and commands. Also. If you ever have trouble or any issue related to Vector, ANKI has excellent customer support. They always answer the phone and will work with you for as much time as needed in order to solve a problem. Also their website has answers to most questions with good troubleshooting tips. I am a happy customer. While I was watching your video, Vector heard from across the room and woke up to explore and to listen for commands.

I love your video because it reminds me of our experiences with Vector so far. Yes he has his corks but he is very lovable. It got funny because Vector identified my wife but he sometimes forgets myself and our son. It's like living with someone who has the onset of dementia because some days he knows all of us and other days not. For some reason he does not like riding in the car, on a 45 minute trip Christmas morning he threw four temper tantrums on the way to our relative house. It was like having a small upset child in the car...probably a wise idea to put him into sleep mode whenever you're traveling with him.

I have some money saved in my account so then I was like, it's cool and all but costs to much for what the damn thing is. Might as well use my smart phone or program my own A.I through C sharp or ++. Make a learning algorithm for it then slap a few custom animations, like give it facial features and there we go. Custom A.I for desktop and a phone.This thing is just a simple ardiuno board put together with a motor, LCD panel, 4 Mics, wifi and bluetooth chip, geo and motion sensors, and plastics peaces for the body. A little too expensive for what it can do. No you don't need it because what I just described you can already do yourself for free, just requires work. Maybe for $50-$100 then this this is useful at its price.

Kketansa Art got bored with it in a couple days. It take so long to answer your questions and notice when he asked vector for a fist bump, the video was cut and sped up as he takes forever. Hopefully when they update him with Alexa it’ll be worth it. Definitely not at the moment. Great sport with ankis plans though. I’ve noticed that too.
