Amazing definitely going to try this out. Here in the Netherlands we also have a variantion of this "donut ball" called Oliebollen (translated= Oil balls) which is mainly sold during the winter holidays. But we add some raisins inside and top it off with some powder sugar on top.

Ooh I think I know how they taste because we here in Switzerland have similair "Fastnacht Schenkeli" often eaten in autumn or winter, since the medieval time (Fastnacht means the night before a time of 40 days of feasting, to remember the suffering of Jesus Christ. But today almost no one is feasting, but the treats have survived and most of them are simple wheat dough things and then deep fried) sooo delicious I love them and I will use your recipe next time :D

Hey japanese, as a javanese I'd like to inform you that we have similar dish in java, with extra sesame as the topping. In java we call it "ndas glundung" or "rolling head" in English (we have a traditional demon sharing the same name anyway 😁) , or many people in Indonesia simply call it "onde-onde" since it looks like the mochi type of onde2...

Right after watching I made a double batch and they turned out wonderful. If a donut hole and a hushpuppy had a baby it would be this slightly sweet dense little nugget. I ended up using AP flour and adding a dash (or two) of vanilla just because my eggs weren't really large enough to fully act as the wet binder....and also, I really love vanilla. ^_^ Thank you for the new recipe!

Oh wow!! I can’t believe that it’s been 3 weeks since the LA Meet-up. Time is truly flying by way too quickly! The sata andagi look amazing! I definitely want to try this recipe! Perhaps, I, too will do the brother Satoshi dance, to keep me from picking up my chopsticks, and poking and turning the andagi. I’ll also need to refrain from wanting to sprinkle them with powdered sugar, or dipping them into melted chocolate. ☺️. Thanks for another awesome video brothers! I say “yes” to the matcha castella! ❤️
@udui1o173 Жыл бұрын
Looks like another good recipe. FYI if you make a large batch and you do not eat them all. my obachan would place the rest in the fridge and the next day she would place them in a toaster oven for 5 to 10 min to get the andagi crispy and dry again. You can put them on a baking sheet in a reg. pre heated oven. They'll taste great again.

It was so wonderful to wake up to find your video today! The sata andagi look delicious. Do they ever mix anything into the batter? I bet black sesame would be delicious. It might be a bit difficult, but a spoonful of anko in the middle would also be yummy. Leave it to me to think of that. LOL. I loved Satoshi's dance interpretation of them cooking and smiling! Thanks for the great video! I send good wishes your way. :-)
