🗣 I rinse 1st and let sit for 15 mins then dump water. I rinse 2nd time and let sit for 1/2 hr. then dump water again. I rinse sea moss 3rd time and let soak 30 mins. With the 3rd batch of water I dump into pan and bring to a lite boil. Then I dump sea moss along w/ slimey water into blender. I blended it for a good 3 mins and waalah … The sea moss is ready to get dumped into your favorite mason jar. Let cool down before sticking it in your fridge.

If anyone needs a recipe, this is how I've been preparing and making my seamoss for the past fifty years (50). I first rinse it well and soak overnight with some lemon/lime juice. The next day, I rinse it again, add clean water, and boil. When I'm making my drink, I add to a blender some of the seamoss gel, evaporated milk, condensed milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, Angostura bitters, and blend until smooth. This is not (only) nutritious but also very delicious!

Just a tip...Though I have not had a bad experience with damaging a blender by not cutting the moss first other people who have demonstrated how to do this claim that you should cut the seamoss into smaller pieces to avoid damaging your blender. Your appliance looks pretty powerful, but for the sake of those who may have a weaker one...I honestly don't know how sea moss could damage someone's blender, but some have claimed that they've paid for not being careful.

I've heard that tap water is so much better than spring water, because tap water is at least regulated, but spring water is completely unregulated, meaning anything could be in that water coming from anywhere, even from the Ganga river in India, if the seller wanted to get it from there.
