Peperomia pellucida also known by common names shining bush plant, pepper elder, Clearweed, Consumption weed, Man to man, Rat ear, Silver bush, Vietnamese crab claw, Slate pencil plant, Pansit-pansitan, peperomia, rat’s ear and rabbit ear is an annual, shallow-rooted herb belonging to Pepper family.
Peperomia pellucida is sold for medicinal purposes and as a vegetable in local markets. The plant can be utilized as a vegetable and in salads. The entire plant is edible, both cooked and raw.
