An easier mix, and just as good, is 1/2 cup cornmeal and 1/4 cup "just add water" pancake mix (2:1 ratio). Add a spoon of sugar and a pinch of salt. Then add enough water to batter. A thick batter comes out like cornbread and a thinner batter comes out like pancakes. The instant pancake mix serves as a binder for the corn meal (probably because of the wheat gluten) and allows it to rise a little. A variation on this is to add a bunch of chopped onion and make onion patties. Taste like onion rings but easier to make.

The only thing that would make that better is a vintage cast iron skillet. I happen to restore antique cast iron. If you want one or 2 or 5 let me know and id be happy to find just what youre looking for! Love your videos and cooking!

Robert Aarstad Do you have a website or something showing the items you have and prices?
@baghdaddy2020037 жыл бұрын
bimp33619 unfortunately selling cast iron online is typically difficult and we closed our etsy store due to low sales. Now we sell direct to customers and in an antique store. If there is a specific brand or soze you want I could email you photos of what I have and or find it for you if we do not have one currently.
