A cup sliced celery, a cup sliced carrots, small onion, ¼tsp salt & pepper, 1tbsp grated ginger, 1tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp of dried oregano & thyme 8cups chicken broth Low 6-8hrs or high 3-4hrs When chicken is cooked thru & tender shred it then pour in 12oz egg noodles & cook on high for 10-15min or precook pasta. Then stir in 3tbsp of parsley

I do not put my vegetables in in the very beginning but I do add a slice of onion half a celery stick and a hunk of carrot. Once everything is halfway done I pull out those vegetables and then add my other veggies so they don't turn to mush. If vegetables cook 6 to 8 hours NBA sliced very thin they will be mushy that's a guarantee. I have always years ago had my vegetables especially carrots be extraordinary really soft and that's not what I'm looking for I don't want to be able to gum it.! Haha :-)

Hello. How many hours into the cooking process before you shred the chicken, and how much longer after it’s shredded do you continue to cook??
@nicodiangelofan8833
@nicodiangelofan8833 3 жыл бұрын
You would wait till the end of the cooking process to shred the chicken. The chicken should be fully cooked when you shred it. You only need to continue cooking the chicken after you shred it if you cook the noodles with the chicken. The length of time you cook the noodles depends on whatever the directions on the box of noodles tells you

I prefer to cook my noodle separately, and only enough for the current servings. Cooked noodles tend to soak up the liquid and get soggy. If I store leftover soup I cook noodles for the next meal separately when I reheat the soup.

It's a common misunderstanding. Think about brining a turkey or a chicken. You use salt and a liquid (unless you are dry brining), to make your poultry more moist. So it's the opposite.
