Have you seen this watermelon Ham? It is a watermelon smoked to look like meat and it is being sold at Duck’s Eatery in New York City.
Go Follow OrlandoFoodieGirl on Instagram / orlandofoodiegirl
Thanks for helping me eat this!
The watermelon is brined then smoked in a very similar way that you would smoke any other type of meat except this is vegetarian. Food Insider made a video on this amazing Smoked watermelon ham and I had to try to make a recipe off of the information given!
Lets see how well I make the Smoked Watermelon Ham Recipe!!
You don’t get any more unique than this thing!

sosimplyshelley I wouldn’t say they “Ripped off” this guy’s video if he (at the very beginning of the video) said “So have you seen the smoked smoked watermelon thats been (ALL) over the internet?”. In no way did BuzzFeed steal any content, if anything they followed a public idea under fair use. Multiple people have re-created this video idea, and this guy is also one of them! By this logic, everyone creating a video off this would actually be stealing from William at DucksEatery, not this man. Now I’m not in agreement with a lot of the tactics BuzzFeed uses for views. And in no way am I slandering Sauce Stache, this man is awesome! I just don’t think its a good idea to misrepresent how public content/ideas and fair use of said content works.

I found your video by blind luck, and I LOVED it! I have been smoking meats since about 1995. (At my age, we usually put an AND in between the digits - 19 and 95). Anyway, my first smoke was a brisket, which I marinated, not rubbed. I made the marinade on the fly, and while the brisket was cooking, I reduced, filtered, reduced, and filtered the marinade until I had a somewhat thick sauce which I would dip the brisket chunks in when we ate it. To coin a phrase by my best friend when he helped me totally devour that brisket, this sauce was "Foot-Stompin' Deelishush!" It was somehow the perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and smokey. People offered me money for the recipe, (never got it) and would always demand I bring some when they throw their barbecues. There was often watermelon at these parties, (TEXAS!) People would absolutely freak out when they saw me dip watermelon in my sauce. Hey, it was good! NOW, I plan to cook this and show everyone that I was way ahead of my time back in them 90's. Thanks for the video. One last question, with or without vodka? Imagine a spiked, smoked version.

The way to calculate the price of food in a restaurant: cost of ingredients, cost of transformation (the salary of the persons doing it {the more something requires precision the better the chef doing it is payed}), restaurant cost (cost of electricity, gas, salary of waiting staff, accounting...) and finaly the profit. So you're saying it cost 20$ in raw materials and took 6hr+ to do... Yeah 70-80$ seems about right.

@@IQzminus2 if that was the case that $1.59 burger at McDonald's would cost $20. The ingredients to make that burger cost McDonald's around $1-$1.15 or so. (As a clarifying note: No offence intended on what I am about to say on that last one about acceptable video range. The thing about that comment is I am basically saying that your show likely helps them push the political/philisophical narratives that are tied to their selection process. How so? Veganism this time around. Not that I have any personal issue with people who only want to eat plants, or in your case fish as well. But that's just how it is.
