I'm an old soapmaker but, I loved this video! You explained everything SO CLEARLY. If that doesn't get people out there to try making their own soap, I don't know what will! Thank you for this!

Hi, I am beginning to make soap. May you send a link for the lye please. Also would you put essential oil in this recipe.
@CreamySuds10 ай бұрын
Hi there, this is the lye I use. amzn.to/4cysF8O I don't use essential oils because I don't think they hold up well in soaps. So I just go for fragrance oils or unscented.

Hey mam, can I replace iye with glycerin? Pls help
@CreamySuds7 ай бұрын
Hello, no you cannot. Lye is the alkaline you need to react with the fatty acids to create soap. Glycerin is only an additive in melt and pour soaps and that's a completely different process I haven't studied enough.

Hi Queen, may I ask at what temperature did you soap for your soap to remain fluid & not harden on you plz? TFS
@CreamySuds Жыл бұрын
If you want it to remain fluid, soap at relatively cool temperatures. So wait for the temperature of your oils to cool down a bit to maybe room temperature.

Can you use it for bathing?

Yes, it's natural soap for your body made with safe ingredients and not store made ones.
@feliciacarter19622 жыл бұрын
Do you have to use the lye concentration?
@CreamySuds2 жыл бұрын
Some people prefer to use the Water to Lye ratio but I think better in percentages than ratio hence I like to use the lye concentration. I hope that answers your question 😊

Wow this is very educative, thank you. Do you know the room temperature method? The one without melting the oils

Hi there, thank you so much. Yes it's called the Heat Transfer method. That's the method I used when making this soap and it's also beginner friendly 😊. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYGofX-YoZxlpac
