What kind of images are you using? Most of the time I create my own designs, either in Illustrator or Photoshop and when I use my own Copic or watercolor paintings I refine them using masks in Photoshop, takes a lot of time, but the result is beautiful. Please let me know if you would be interested on a video on how to clean up images in Photoshop and I'll see what I can do.

I'm using a logo I designed for my business. Its a file from illustrator. Vectorized logo and vectorized calligraphy writing. My stickers end up cutting off center of the logo so they're not circular. Wondering if I forgot to flatten them, now that I'm thinking of it. I think of 2 issued that could be causing the off center cut: 1 machine calibration 2 trying to print then cut an svg image without flattening as you mention. I’d say photoshop is the best out there Get a good quality scanner and start testing what best works for you use different types of paper and mediums and explore the settings of your scanner. One that is done, create transparent background images and cut away.

I buy them online mostly. Amazon has them for $64 (color and black). The performance of the cartridges is pretty good and I rarely print using the highest quality, because standard is really good.

Hi fistable I want to thank you for your videos, they are very helpful. I have a question I bought the same LD Sticker photo paper. I made some stickers but the color black is not staying if I run my finger the ink comes in my finger.... do you have the same problem? Do I have to wait to let it dry? It almost pass half day and still the ink runs out. Thank you.

I haven't had that problem yet, Are you using some kind of photo printer, sometimes those put a lot more ink on the paper and that could take a long time to dry. Are you using an alternative cartridge? I've had issues in the past with off brand inks. If not, I would advise you to try contacting you printer manufacturer to see if they can help. LD photo paper is glossy and that can take a long time for the inkto dry, but never a day.

It happened to me a couple of times. I use standard printing settings. High quality puts a lot of ink and takes ages to dry in glossy paper. No do let the sit overnight before handling or use a blow drier to speed it up.

How did you print that full sheet? Cricuts print and cut only let’s you print within 6.75x9.25”. I only know there’s a hack where you use tape to fool your Cricut.... so how did you print a full sheet with the black lines???

How would you go about cutting the outer layer of the sticker sheet (like the outline) using Cricut so u can have a specific shape you can use to cut it?

In design space, draw the shape you want around your stickers and then attach it to your image. I would suggest to copy that shape and place it on top so it cuts twice thus doing a “ die cut”cut instead of a kiss cut.

How did you get your machine to cut glossy paper? I've tried doing a print and cut with glossy paper but it can't read the lines. I tried to go on their website and they said that the gloss throws off the scanner, I know there are some hacks, but, how did you do it?

The Maker doesn’t have any trouble reading glossy paper. However, if you have a Cricut explore or your machine is misbehaving, try pouncing an embossing buddy ( amzn.to/2JQ8gkA ) very lightly all around the registration marks. That usually works.

Hi there! I’m testing different brands of paper for another video, I haven’t gotten to the laser quality printing so far, but I will test them with my laser printer and upload the results on my blog and KZbin. A while ago I made stickers printing them on high quality laser printer paper, foiling them, laminating then with clear vinyl, cutting them on my Cricut explore and then running them through a Xyron Sticker Maker. This brand carries a repositionable adhesive cartridge that could satisfy your cravings 😆. Some papers that claim to be repositionable only allow you to change the position at first, but became permanent when pressed or rubbed on. For a clear option, I used laser transparencies and did the same process. I hope that helps. I’ll let you know when I upload the video and if I find something better. Thanks for subscribing!!

yes, of course you can, this video shows the process on the explorer and the maker, it's very similar in both. I've realized, there's not a perfect machine, but a Cricut is the closest to it.

How do I add the title of my stickers to the top of the sheet without the cricut cutting the text out too? Also how do I add a bleed to my stickers without also having a bleed on the title text?

That could be a little tricky, I think the best way is to design your sticker sheet without the title in it and add it before printing on a different software. What I mean is: Design the stickers and add the white outlines if you want to Import them to design space Create a rectangle shape around your stickers and leave space for your title - I like to duplicate that rectangle and align both of them together; this will make you machine to cut twice, thus allowing you to separate that piece from the rest of the page. Make sure to attach that rectangle to your stickers so they cut together. Click on make it Use the override method to print outside design space (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bn_KY4mCe8uii68) add your title using other software like word or illustrator. Your machine won’t know the title is there, so it won’t cut around it and you will have space to add your title by putting that rectangle around.

Hi! Help! For a Kiss Cut Sticker sheet with a backing card - I can only seem to get my outline cut out when I have a white backing card (yes saved as a png) and i’ve tried the hack of duplicating the backing card to make that fully cut out but it doesn’t even register to kiss cut the actual stickers whenever i have a backing card…any thoughts on what i’m doing wrong?

Hi Katie Ann. It really depends on how thick is your actual sticker paper, not really the backing, although I’ve had noticed minor differences when the backing is really thick. I guess it is due to the paper being closer to the blade housing, thus it going deeper into the paper. It is really try and error in the end. Remember to keep your paper always in the same place of your mat and registering whatever pressure works better. Good luck.

My cricut explore 2 is not cutting the stickers properly, it seems to cut smaller than the actual shape of each sticker. Also, I have a hard time removing my sticker paper from the mat, it is stuck on the mat. Any advice? Thanks for the video!

To fix the print issues, make sure you print at 100%. Sometimes printer drivers prompt you to print with a “fit to page” setting thus making your images larger than intended. Also set the correct paper size; most printers default you to an A4 paper size and if you are using letter size it might not come out right. As far as your lining sticking to your mat, try taping your sleeve (jersey fabric is the best) in your mat to remove some of the stickiness. I have a not so sticky mat just for stickers. I hope that helps.

You can only go back to your project if you save it, though your uploaded images will remain in the cloud so you can start a new project. Your printer settings have to be set every time.

I haven’t tried it, but you could seal the stickers with some kind of acrylic spray or maybe put a layer of clear vinyl on top. I’m not so sure if that would prevent them from smearing though maybe that extra layer of clear vinyl can be larger and seal the edges.

I tried changing my settings to 120 as you did this video but my Criicut maker still cut through the paper. I set it to "Washi Tape" and it was better but it still cut through one side of the sticker. Ugh

I’ve had that problem before with the Maker. I realized my mat was not completely flat, thus leaving some uneven raised areas. To make this work, try to use a mat as new as possible and make sure you feed the mat centered so it doesn’t bend when cutting. If all fails, try positioning your sticker paper in the middle of the mat or towards the bottom, or feeding the mat bottom first. I hope that helps.

They could be, but people usually refer as decals, to the self adhesive images made out of colored vinyl. Usually they are one color. Stickers in the other hand, are mostly printed images with several colors.

Sorry to hear that Lucy, the sensor on the explore air is a little bit temperamental with glossy paper. Try using an embossing buddy (anti static powder used for heat embossing) only on the white around the registration marks. It worked for me.

There is. You must find transparent background images or remove the background using an image editing software. Just make sure to use images labeled for reuse so you are not infringing copyrights. If you buy images online, read the end user agreement to make sure you can alter the images. If you are thinking about selling them, also make sure you are entitled to do so before you buy. Fixed it, maybe using the photo sticker paper will help with banding issues. I do not get banding with photos but have avoided print & cut due to banding issues with 4 different printers from 3 different manufacturers.

I’m glad it worked! Regarding the banding issue, have you tried printing the file on a different software? Maybe it’s the info the printer is getting from your browser that does that. My machine has such a hard time reading the black lines on GLOSSY paper...how on earth do you get passed this issue!!!

First, using a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol, clean the reading sensor and the light to make sure there’s no dust or debris blocking the sensor. Be very careful and do not apply too much pressure or you might break the small conector. As Bob Ross would say, do it “very lightly” If your machine is still not reading, use an embossing buddy (the one you use to avoid embossing powder to stick all over). Apply just a small amount so the black line is still readable but not shiny. I hope that helps! Let me know how it went.

@@AwesomeSVGs Aww man I was so excited to try this solution. I tried to use a powder substitute and used corn startch, it DEFINITELY helped the machine read the lines, so thank you for this! However, everything still seemed off by a mm still. I checked the alignment of the machine by cutting out the stickers Im printing with regular paper and they came out perfectly. I dont really know what to do anymore since the glossy paper definitely reads now with your hack but its still just...off...idk man haha.

One last thing that is kind of tedious, is to print on regular copy paper and then cut out the registration marks and glue them on top of the sticker paper. Make sure not to cover the cutting edges of your images.
