Interesting enough, I have been experimenting with Soda Stream syrup. It has half the sugar of normal soda per serving. I found that is works well, but you need to turn the freezing temperature down (warmer) as it makes more of a snowcone consistency and is harder to dispense. Looks very similar to your first test. May be a better way to go for some folks. You could water it down and add allulose for an even lower sugar count and maintain the natural flavor/ taste.

When you make the milkshake you can just add regular sugar to it or use like a premix ice cream powder to get that smooth & creamy texture

As far as I know allulose is the only sweetener that will work in the Slushi, but I could be wrong?? Possibly Erythritol because it's similar to Allulose, but I would just have to try it. If I test it, I will update this comment to let you know! Thanks so much for watching! 😃

Just curious, why do you use lemon juice?

Good question! So your diet drink already has sweetener in it and then you add the allulose which is another sweetener, so the lemon juice tones down the sweet taste. Otherwise it would be way too sweet if that makes sense? Thanks for asking I should have explained this in the video! 😃

I have not tested anything other than allulose, but it's my understanding that only allulose works. I don't understand the science behind it, but it's something to with the chemical makeup of allulose because allulose is chemically a sugar, even though it does not behave like one in the body. In that way it tricks the Slushi into thinking there's real sugar in it so it slushes like normal. I hope that helps and thanks so much for watching! 😃

Good question and I should have answered it in the video! The lemon juice tones down the sweetness. Without it, you would have the allulose plus the sweetener already in the drink you are slushing and it would be way too sweet! Thanks so much for asking!! 😃
