Sometimes you plan a photo with PhotoPills and you don’t know how to get where the Red Pin (shooting spot) is. Well, in this video I’m showing you a simple way to make sure you place the tripod right at the planned shooting spot.

Thanks! Great tips, especially the reminder the blue dot moves and is me walking or driving. I've used that blue dot moving feature while driving to find the parking lot at the beach that was closest to where I wanted to be. I agree with @Japcarsrock2 that you not "swallow" words when speaking. Speaking at a slower clip would be helpful. I find changing the video replay speeds for Photopills KZbin videos helps. I use the KZbin GEAR icon to slow down the video to 80-85% of the so called "normal" speed. That gear is on the bottom right side of the Video screen.

Would you provide some suggestions as to ways to achieve uniform and controlled lighting of the foreground when taking picture of the Milky Way (for example) when it is very dark? It would be helpful if you covered the type of lighting that works best as well as tips on achieving the desired level of lighting. Thanks!!

It shows in your Night AR focal length used is 79mm but for me it shows only 14mm and 24mm. How can I change to a longer focal length?

Hi Dianne, Thanks for reaching out. The purchase is linked to your Google Play account. You can install it in all your Android devices (phone and tablet). Go to Google Play and log in using the same account you used to buy PhotoPills. Then search PhotoPills and install it. If you log in with a different account, you'll have to pay again. Google is the real seller and the one that manages the store. Make sure you're using the same account and you'll be fine. If you change your account, or you change from Android to Apple (or vice versa), then you have to buy the app again. Unfortunately Google and Apple don't exchange users. Thank you,

What happens if you don't have a landmark like a lighthouse? I'm gonna have to wing it. I can't use a tree can I? Can I use someone's address and hope I catch the shot?

You could to find a cool subject or use a person as the subject. Or just shoot the Moon over the landscape...

I totally agree with Japcarsrock2's comment (although I'm not crazy about his username). I've wanted to say the same thing for quite a while. The narrator is almost impossible to understand. PhotoPills should definitely find somebody else to narrate their videos. I understand the person that's doing it now may have a speech impediment, but, be that as it may, the videos it posts to help people are practically useless.

You understand that not everyone grew up speaking English, right? Perhaps you could give him a little leeway in that regard. Also, you can turn on the closed captioning and have the googles write out what is being said. That said, I find his English completely understandable.

Nice Video. But please, please: Talk more slowly and do not swallow half of the letters of the words. For example: It is "METERS" and not "MEAS". Or "FIGURE OUT" and not "FIA OUT". It is very hard to understand.
