SILVANA is a Filipino dessert. It is a frozen cookie made from a layer of buttercream sandwiched between two cashew-meringue wafers coated with cookie crumbs.
Silvana Wafer ingredients:
3 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
4 teaspoon corn flour
1/2 cups cashew nuts
1 cup of crushed cookie or digestive biscuits
Silvana's Buttercream:
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter (room temperature}
Bake at 160 Celsius for at least 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
