the best choice is splice i mean it has anything you need you can basicly use anything for impulse responses (I mean there just audio) i forgor to mention in the video that the hitech ninja samples packs are also great sample packs

Not really, it helps to know a little bit of music theory, but most DAWs offer you enough support to cover that lack of music theory knowledge. You can also find plenty of tutorials on KZbin on how to write chords, melodies, how to mix and master and all of that stuff
