I'm sipping this right now and couldn't wait to post just to say how good it is! I followed the recipe but added extra pumpkin puree since mine is fresh and less concentrated than the can (about 2 tbls more) and it is so lovely! Thanks for saving me money and allowing me to enjoy this yummy flavour throughout the holidays because they stop serving this in October here in England.

I read this recipe in a magazine recently and thought I'd remember it. As time got away from me, I found that I forgot some parts, and was so upset that I might not be able to capture it again. In searching KZbin, it was the top choice for pumpkin spice recipe. Thaks a million. Please know there is nothing wrong with finding and being inspired by a recipe that you really like, and sharing it with the world. Otherwise, it may just get lost in the pages of some old magazine.

Being asian, we don't use exact measurements and that's what I did with this recipe and it's still FABULOUS! I added coconut cream and opted out from whipped cream cause I don't like the taste. I also put cinnamon sticks and couples of cloves in a cheese cloth and boil it together. This gives the extra kick! Then i pour black tea for 1/3 of the cup and top it with the milk Cannot express how delicious it is. Thank you so much for sharing.

I like this recipe and all, and it obviously tastes like pumpkin, but it was a little bit weak on the pumpkin flavoring part. I put 1 TSP of vanilla instead of 1 TBSP. I figured it might have been too much. I followed the rest of the directions perfectly, only I blended my milk-spice mixture until frothy. I put 1/3 coffee, 1/3 milk-spice mix and 1/3 froth. I think next time, I will add more puree and maybe more pumpkin spice in it. I might also just add the 1 TBSP as well.

I followed your advice and put in more pumpkin (skipping the vanilla, because I didn't have any), and someone else said, you should use more coffee so I used almost double the amount. Used 2 tbsp sugar though, and it was still veerrrry sweet!

this is a real pumpkin latte, and it's better than starbucks. starbucks uses a chemical that is infused with ammonia to create a pumpkin spice taste for their pumpkin lattes. why can't starbucks just use this recipe. its a cleaner, more simple, healthier, and better. Plus no harmful chemicals lol

Today I tried to make my version. I made the syrup separately (I baked the pumpkin and then mixed it into puree, boiled in water with brown sugar, vanilla sugar and a mixture of spices for spiced pumpkin) and then poured it into the coffee with whipped milk, but it didn't taste as good as in Starbucks :(. I'll try your version to mix it directly into the milk.

“Cloves” and if it’s pre-made Pumpkin Pie Spice then yea but when you’re making it yourself the “Cloves” can be Very overpowering I’ve had a time where I choked on the “Cloves”
@Heather-ko2lv
@Heather-ko2lv 4 жыл бұрын
@@moonietunes0000 One beauty of homemade recipes is that the crafter can adjust the recipe to a specific palate or for a specific experience. If an individual has a cloves sensitivity but wants to use cloves, that person should add the cloves slowly and test the result. It's the same with any other ingredient. Every recipe has an inherent "add to taste" element for every spice: adjust according to the flavor sought. The "that one time I had too much, so nobody should try it" argument leads to the logical conclusion that people should cut out any/all spices. For example, I know people who, under this theory, should not consume cinnamon because they failed the cinnamon challenge. (I do not recommend participating in a cinnamon challenge.) Does this mean nobody should have cinnamon? I certainly hope not! Anyone with a cinnamon sensitivity should certainly be cautious of adding too much, but that shouldn't exclude using it altogether. Sensitivity (or lack thereof) to any spice is possible; our differing palates are one of the reasons to adjust the amount in a recipe. On a different note, the appropriate way to correct a typo is with an asterisk (*). Quotation marks (' or ") are used for other purposes. In the case above, the use of quotation marks comes across as trolling; used in this way, quotation marks indicate incredulousness, irony, or ire (e.g., the "aliens" only talk when donning the appropriate tin foil hat). Example of proper correction: *cloves *very overpowering. If the intent is to drag out a typo (such as to re-iterate ignorance), one would use the word as originally spelled instead of the corrected version of it. Example of re-iteration: Making it yourself, the "clove" can be very overpowering. Alternatively, one could combine these methods of correction and trollery. (In all likelihood, it will both read awkwardly and confuse the reader as to the intent of the message, but it is possible!) The proper way to do that would be something like this: *Cloves. Making it yourself, the "clove" can be very overpowering. Finally, quotation marks are sometimes used to draw distinctions between similar words, such as homophones and homonyms, when italics are unavailable. Example: While I love cloves, I have choked on "clove" in the past. Cloves are delicious, but "clove" is dangerous! I hope this helps. Best of luck with your latte-crafting adventures!

Powders have a hard time dissolving in cold liquids. If the milk was cold when you put the spices in, that's why they didn't dissolve. Make sure it's heated next time and I think it will turn out a lot better! If you want it iced, it would turn out best to make it hot, then put it in the freezer. Good luck!
