Yes, this is how Emiẹki is made but the Edo people use very ripe plantains. 😊

Yes! You sure right! There is this unique wonderful taste that banana leaves give moi moi, chai! I was thinking the same and bamn! You said it. So right. I definitely will be using this recipe looks sumptuous. And you are right about the severe sweetness associated with using ripe plantains, my children didn't like it at all, just too sweet. So am so glad I came across your recipe thank you!

Excellent. Plantains Bananas have become my main staple food since I discovered the nutrition values of unripened plantains. I prepare the plantains West African Fufu style with green apples which gives a delicious taste. But now, after watching this, I am going to add even recipe. Thank you so much.

This is a quick alternative to bean moin moin that I made over the holidays (it goes great with vegetable stew). The West Indians and Caribbean's call it pastelles or Dokunnu they make during the holidays. It's amazing how they retain African tradition.

The only thing I really wouldn't do is adding beaten eggs. I rather add boiled eggs if I so desire to have egg in them. Nevertheless, it was a well detailed video and the end result came out nice. Thanks for sharing

The beaten eggs helps the plantain moi moi to bind together. Is for a purpose.
