Yes! You sure right! There is this unique wonderful taste that banana leaves give moi moi, chai! I was thinking the same and bamn! You said it. So right. I definitely will be using this recipe looks sumptuous. And you are right about the severe sweetness associated with using ripe plantains, my children didn't like it at all, just too sweet.
