This is one of my most favorite cookies. I make this at least 3x a month. I've modified it somewhat, reduced the sugar, replaced the raisins with craisins and sometimes I do a cooled browned butter. I've even added peanut butter and a banana on some batches.

My friend use to make oatmeal raisin...the raisins were melted in a pan over the stove..juice Because many people and kids including me don't like whole raisins..but the Spicy taste is wonderful In the oatmeal. I've made oatmeal cookies both with the quick oats and the old fashion oats. The feedback I ( I don't eat baked goods)I received was, the cookies with the quick oats were preferred. So now I only make mine with quick oats.

You dont have to do anything-Anna for translate. Just hit the settings wheel top right, turn on captions and either choose your language or hit auto translate

I favour agave syrup where I can, and coconut palm sugar (which isn't sugar-free, but does register much lower on the glycemic index than cane or beet sugar.

I like the ripe banana idea if you like the flavour, and I would use 50 mL of either to replace the egg - because of the oasts, you shouldn't have any trouble with the cookie holding together once baked.
