If you are pouring the hot water into a cup with the tea bag or loose leaf then milk after it is brewing since milk will mess the process up. Since the tea already was done brewing than adding milk in the cup first is okay to do.

I brought this video up just now at the breakfast table to present to my girlfriend (she’s Thai). She asked me to buy her an English tea set so she could try traditional English tea, but now as our tea has brewed and we are sitting down for to enjoy it, she refuses to put milk in it...
