Pops used to make these with leftover mashed potatoes, and I love them. Over the years I have tried to but never could get it to work. I knew he warmed them up in the microwave to get them pliable to go on the griddle, but now realize he probably added egg and flour to it too. Next time my mom's in town it'll be a good call back treat for her, there have been quite a few of those thanks to this channel. Appreciate you guys

My thoughts are to use decent size round metal cookie cutters to shape the cakes evenly, then use them for burger patties. Use the cakes as the buns

Have been making them for years. But we use a short cut. Use left over baked potatoes or boiled small red potatoes and joosh them up. ( had to throw a little Betty in there)
